Abstract:
Bleaching trays can be made without alginate impressions directly in the mouth for certain patients; splints can also be made more predicable.

Objectives:

  • Understand bleaching vs. whitening
  • Review general bleaching principles
  • Learn carbamide and hydrogen peroxide differences
  • Discuss different types of novel bleaching tray fabrication technique other than conventional, including thermoplastic trays and impression techniques
  • Discuss different methods for splint fabrication made directly in the mouth or on any articulator
