This course provides continuing education for physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. A general attendance certificate is also available.
This session will focus on pediatric and adolescent psychiatric conditions and treatments in the family practice and pediatric settings. Dr. Tramell will describe accessible diagnostic tools easily used in a medical setting and use a case-based presentation to illustrate child psychiatric standards of care in common childhood and adolescent psychiatric conditions frequently presenting in the pediatric and family practice clinic.
Objectives:
- Identify at least five indications of ADHD and four treatment modalities.
- List three types of anxiety and two appropriate treatments for each.
- Name at least three signs or symptoms of depression and two treatment modalities.
