Moral distress and moral injury are well-documented problems in healthcare. This session will focus on biblical narrative and theological reflections that address the problem. Practices that help build moral resilience will be offered as a way of both combating and avoiding moral distress.

  • Identify several Biblical texts that address moral distress.
  • Discuss moral distress in health care in a theological and practical context.
  • Recommend and practice strategies that build moral resilience.
