Description

This talk will review why we go on mission in the first place. We will walk through a typical mission trip and what you would expect. We will review the different roles or areas to serve on our missions and who can go on mission with GHO. We will discuss the different specialty focus missions GHO sends in addition to our general medical and dental teams. You will have a better understanding of CMDA’s Global Health Outreach missions.

Patricia Burgess, MD

Dr. Burgess is the current director for Global Health Outreach, a ministry of Christian Medical and Dental Association. She is a member of CMDA. Dr. Burgess received her B.S. Degree in Chemistry from the University of Georgia and her MD from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Burgess has served in a leadership role with the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 1997 and has led numerous short term medical mission trips to Central America, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
