Architectural Woodwork Standards and Casework Testing

Description

This program will provide information on updates to and use of the national standard for architectural woodwork. Specifically, the session will discuss casework testing and the related new content developed around this area of focus.

    Ashley Goodin has been with the Architectural Woodwork Institute since 2013, first as Technical Services Manager and then Technical Director in 2016. Prior to assuming this position at AWI, Ashley served for four years with the AWI Quality Certification Program as Inspections Manager and as an Inspector for the Southeastern United States.

    In his years of working in in the fields of standards compliance and standards development, Ashley worked alongside many manufacturers. Through his experience with industry professionals, Ashley has had the opportunity to see the practical application of industry standards and determine how to best leverage their use in business.

    Ashley is a member of the American Society for Association Executives and earned his designation as a Certified Association Executive in May 2016. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Society of Association Executives and completed the GSAE Leadership Academy in September 2016.

    Ashley currently resides in Americus, Georgia with his wife, Meg, who is a clinical nutrition manager and the food service director for the local hospital. Together, the couple has two sons, Hudson (8), and Hayes (6). Ashley has been a volunteer firefighter since 2001, serves on the board of directors for the local community theater, and heads the Men’s Club in its community outreach and fellowship efforts for Calvary Episcopal Church.
