Description

The course provides an in depth look at the benefits on Insulated Metal Panels Barrier Wall Systems as a simpler and superior option to multiple component exterior wall assemblies. The program addresses the many challenges faced by multiple component wall assemblies; current energy code requirements; the influence of air, moisture, thermal and vapor are discussed; and actual insulated metal barrier panel case studies are reviewed. Videos and animations are used within a PowerPoint presentation to enhance the overall presentation. This program is an interactive session that encourages feedback and questions.

He is currently Business Development Manager for Metl-Span in the Southern California Region (division of NCI Building Systems). In his current role Mr. Calsada is deeply involved with the architectural community on developing specifications for insulated metal panel systems throughout the California, Nevada, Hawaii, & Arizona markets.

    David has over 25 years of experience representing various building product manufacturers in regional and national architectural/engineering support roles. He joined Metl-Span in 2011 and during that time has been involved in the building façade design of hundreds of projects requiring IMPs. His primary responsibility is to provide design assistance and support to the build community in the Northeast Region. This includes product recommendation, specification development, technical support, and project management either directly with a client designer or in collaboration with Metl-Span or NCI Brands field personnel.
