Description

About This Program

The two most important aspects of rigid board insulation for use in construction are thermal value and fire performance. This presentation provides an in-depth focus on fire performance of the most common rigid board insulations used in commercial construction and retrofit. We will cover the science of fire and how fire performance varies across different types of insulation. Recent amendments to commercial building regulations and relevant insurance standards will also be covered, followed by a review of case studies.

Session Takeaways

  • How the several types of insulation differ by fire performance
  • The science of fire and how insulations react and resist it
  • Recent amendments to commercial building regulations
  • Review relevant insurance standards
