Prefabricated EIFS-Clad Panel Assemblies - Design Considerations and Benefits of a Panelized Approach

About This Program

Prefabricated EIFS-Clad Panel Assemblies represent a lightweight, cost effective, energy efficient, continuous insulated and aesthetically finished enclosure for the building envelope wall dramatically enhancing the speed of enclosure construction and extending the overall construction season.

This course addresses in detail the characteristics of prefabricated EIFS-clad panel systems; types and options; inherent features, benefits, and advantages; and typical design and detailing considerations for a comprehensive panelized building enclosure construction approach.

Session Takeaways

  • Assess the benefits of prefabrication versus in-field application of EIFS cladding systems.
  • Describe design and construction considerations when incorporating prefabricated EIFS panels into a new or renovation project.
  • Recognize the three common types of prefabricated EIFS panels and be able to incorporate panel configurations effectively into building envelope designs.
  • Identify the performance, constructability, and durability characteristics of prefabricated exterior wall panels using EIFS cladding.
