Join Joe Megibow, CEO of Purple, in conversation with DAA Board Member David McBride. Joe will discuss his career progression in analytics from analytics startup Tealeaf, to management positions at and American Eagle to leading Purple, a mattress industry disruptor, and share insights on the critical role analytics plays in the organization.     Joe Megibow, CEO, Purple
    Before joining Purple as Chief Executive Officer, Joe Megibow served as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer at American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. where he oversaw the transformation and growth of American Eagle’s $550+ million direct-to-consumer business between 2012 and 2015. In this role, he built out a global omni-channel strategy and infrastructure, and led all digital marketing, customer operations, engineering and product management efforts. Prior to that, Megibow held several senior roles with Expedia, Inc., including VP and General Manager of, the $10B+ US online travel business. Megibow most recently served as an independent consultant to Advent International, the $41 billion global private equity firm, helping its portfolio companies develop world-class digital capabilities. Megibow earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

    David McBride is a 13-year veteran of the analytics industry, having held analytics leadership roles in media, retail, and technology settings. David is passionate about helping companies achieve growth through data-informed customer relationships. He has led analytics teams at Comcast and American Eagle Outfitters and has created customer analytics products at IBM and Intel. He is currently SVP of Digital Solutions at Course5 Intelligence, which helps brands drive digital transformation through analytics, insights and Artificial Intelligence. David is a frequent speaker at analytics events and founder of the Analytics UnSummit. He holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
