This training will explore tools, techniques, and responsibilities with
utilizing bibliotherapy in a Supervisory context. Bibliotherapy is an
empirically validated expressive arts therapy encouraging connection
through storytelling, narratives, poetry, and the written word. The
connection and identification strengths in bibliotherapy magnify a
Supervisors ability to grow the Supervisee's confidence, competency, and
skills. Bibliotherapy can be used to enhance the effectiveness of the
supervisory relationship as well as the Supervisee's toolbox.
Objectives:
1. Participants will discuss
supervisory responsibilities in the context of relating through multiple
mediums including bibliotherapy.
2. Participants will explore challenging issues and identify 2 supervision interventions that explore articulating challenges.
3. Participants will learn appropriate ways to enhance and increase connection and observation in Group Supervision.
