About the Lecturer:
Dr. Brigitta Nuccio is a nationally certified and Florida licensed Physician Assistant and a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist. Upon receiving her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida in 2002, Mrs. Nuccio began her career in Primary Care. In 2007, Mrs. Nuccio decided to focus exclusively on Tobacco Cessation and Training. For seven years, Mrs. Nuccio had been employed by the Big Bend Area Health Education Center in Tallahassee, Florida and was solely responsible for overseeing a satellite office in Marianna, Florida. She facilitated Quit Smoking Now and Tools to Quit classes throughout various communities and worksites in Florida. She also trained countless cessation facilitators, healthcare professionals, and students. Mrs. Nuccio wrote a book entitled, Quit Smoking Success, which was published by Authorhouse and released in October 2009. In January, 2014 Mrs. Nuccio founded Missions for a Healthy World, Inc., a non-profit corporation whose
mission is to enhance the quality of healthcare by improving access, advancing education, and inspiring change for our future. In 2019, Dr. Nuccio completed her
Doctorate of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg.
