    Dr. Mario Rodenas graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2000 and pursued his internship and residency in SUNY Downstate Medical center in Brooklyn, NY, and Baystate Medical center/Tufts University in Springfield, MA, graduating in 2007. He subsequently pursued his Allergy, Asthma & Immunology training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he initially had started his training. He had the opportunity to rotate at NIAID (National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Diseases), as well as Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York where he gained vast experience in the field of immunology.

    After completing his fellowship, Dr. Rodenas practiced at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He joined the University of Florida in 2016 and for the past two years was the Chief of the Section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology in the Division of Rheumatology of the Department of Medicine. He is a fellow of the ACAAI and AAAAI, a reviewer for several journals including JACI: In Practice, and the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as an abstract reviewer for the AAAA. He belongs to several committees in the ACAAI and AAAAI.

    Dr. Rodenas has been an invited speaker at local, national and international conferences and has an extensive list of publications. He has had also multiple media interventions over the years. While at UF, he created a weekly immunology clinic that receives patients from all over the state of Florida. He recently joined Grifols as a speaker and is currently offering Telemedicine in partnership with SmartCareDoc, and is excited to soon join his colleague and friend Dr. Guarderas in Valdosta, GA.
