Closing General Session - Building Public Health Capacity Through an Ethical Lens to Address Social Challenges

Optimal health and well-being can only be achieved if resources and opportunities are equitably distributed among all communities. This includes dismantling systemic and institutional structures that create inequities and exacerbate longstanding disparities. This session will highlight how to apply the Public Health Code of Ethics and other ethical frameworks to public health practice. It will explore connections between the ethics, social justice issues and moral considerations underlying public health, and how those connections can build a workforce that tackles the social factors affecting our health.
