    How’d you get that job? For public health students and early-career professionals to learn from a panel of early-career professionals as they discuss their start in the public health field. Q&A to follow!

    • Rya Griffs, BS, MPH

      Rya Griffis (she/her) is the grassroots and communications project manager at APHA in the public affairs and advocacy department. She received her BS in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her MPH with a concentration on health equity from the University of Maryland at College Park.

    • Mia Donley, BS, RDN, MPH

      Mia Donley (she/her) is a registered dietitian nutritionist providing community outpatient counseling. She is also an instructor at MSU Denver, teaching about cultural aspects of nutrition. Mia received her BS in nutrition and dietetics from Auburn University, and her MPH with a concentration in nutrition from the University of Minnesota.

    • Shariq Farooqi, BA, MSPH Candidate

      Shariq Farooqi (they/them) is an anti-violence program advocate at Sakhi, a gender-justice organization dedicated to ending gender-based violence. They received their BA in international affairs with a double minor in public health and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies from George Washington University. Shariq is a MSPH candidate at Johns Hopkins University.

    • Maria Price, BS

      Maria Price (she/her) is a research grant specialist at Lurie Children’s Hospital. She received her BS in public health from Loyola University Chicago. Maria pursues experiences that grow her knowledge within the field of public health and that foster a connection with a diverse network of individuals to learn from.

    • Lindsey Johnson, BA

      Lindsey Johnson (she/her) is a program coordinator with AmeriCorps and an AmeriCorps alumna, herself. In her current role, she assists with the development and implementation of Public Health AmeriCorps. She received her BA from Colgate University with a double major in peace and conflict studies and Russian and Eurasian studies.
