Engaging Youth in Climate and Health Solutions: Using APHA's Climate and Health Youth Education Toolkit

Climate change and its effects are on most American’s minds, especially youth. Although students in your community are very interested in climate issues, they likely aren’t being taught about climate change’s impacts on health in school. You can change that! Join us to learn how you can use the Climate and Health Youth Education Toolkit.

Launched by APHA’s Center for Climate, Health and Equity, in partnership with the Children’s Environmental Health Committee, this Toolkit was designed for health professionals to educate students in grades 9 – 12 on the intersection between climate and health.

This webinar will:
• Explain the disparities in how climate change affects children's health.
• Illustrate the role health professionals can play in educating youth.
• Share details about the "Climate and Health Youth Education Toolkit.“
• Discuss how to adapt the toolkit for your audience.
• Share how to include best mental health practices while using the curriculum.

A moderated Q&A will follow.
