AJ Pearlman, JD, is Director of Public Health AmeriCorps, an
innovative partnership between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
and AmeriCorps. She joins the agency with extensive public health experience,
including from the Department of Human Services, the Biden-Harris and the Obama
Administration.
A Case Manager and site supervisor for We The People
Community Health Worker Corps’ Public Health AmeriCorps program at Damien
Ministries, in Washington, DC. She supports PHA Americorps members in offering
health screenings and community health outreach in local communities. Sanchez
works to empower communities with compassion and knowledge, leading a dedicated
team at Damien Ministries to serve with dignity and provide vital health
education.
Jennifer Podeweltz is an AmeriCorps Recovery Coach at the
Marshfield Clinic Health System. As a Recovery Coach, Jennifer supports
individuals, as well as their close families or friends, in their recovery
journeys. She also works to negate the stigma and social challenges faced by
those battling substance abuse who are incarcerated.
Meagan Barnett, CHES, PS is a Community Health Manager at
Marshfield Clinic Health System, where she supports the Substance Use
Prevention and Recovery Team within the Center for Community Health
Advancement. Meagan oversees members in Marshfield Clinic’s Recovery Corps
program, funded through Public Health AmeriCorps.
