  • Kim Nguyen

    Kim Nguyen is a seasoned strategist, organizer, and advocate with a background in public health and bioengineering. Due to Kim’s interdisciplinary background, Kim has made an impact in a variety of roles and industries including biotech/engineering, research, non-profit, government, and philanthropy. Kim has a proven record of success partnering with clients to develop and run successful campaigns. In order to be an effective consultant, Kim is an expert on state legislatures, agencies, political landscapes as well as a number of federal and state policies. They identify legislative risks and opportunities, develop proactive and reactive campaigns, and form and maintain strategic alliances. Kim’s portfolio of states is ever growing and includes CA, CT, FL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MT, NH, NM, TN, UT, VA, WA, WI, and WV. Beyond this, Kim has extensive campaign experience (community, ballot, electoral) and, thus, is someone who is well-versed in crystallizing the impact of public policy as well as building and navigating lasting relationships that inspire action with stakeholders. Prior to these roles, Kim focused much of their work in the research and public health sphere at institutions including the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Harvard University, and Stanford University. These roles provide Kim with unique insight into the intersection of public health, biotech, and government affairs.

  • Rya Griffs, BS, MPH

    Rya Griffis is the project manager for the Alliance for Disease Prevention and Response at APHA, she manages multiple projects including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded project to protect public health authority. Rya comes to public health with a background in organizing, healthcare and hospitality. Rya has her MPH from University of Maryland with a focus on health equity. Her journey in the public health field has given her experience in health literacy and clear communication, project management, workforce development, policy and more!
