Infobuttons for Clinical Decision Support May 2013

Presenter: Guilherme Del Fiol, MD, PhD
Co-Chair, Clinical Decision Support Work Group; Assistant Professor, University of Utah
This webinar will describe how online reference resources can be integrated with EHR systems through the HL7 Context-Aware Information Retrieval Standard (also known as the Infobutton Standard). The goal is to provide clinicians and their patients with seamless access to relevant information in the context of EHR use that can aid the decision- making process. The standard has recently been included as one of the requirements for EHR certification in the Meaningful Use Stage 2 Standards certification criteria.
