The adoption and implementation of FHIR in clinical settings is progressing. FHIR is being applied to several different workflows allowing FHIR enabled systems to smoothly exchange health data with each other. The HL7 Public Health Work Group’s FHIR projects are leveraging FHIR resources and mechanisms to improve clinical and public health interactions.

This course will provide an overview of the current and potential application of FHIR within the public health domain.
