Medicare IPPS Policy Changes 2019, 6.27.2018

CMS recently released a proposed rule for hospital payments that will notably affect patient care, data use and interoperability in the United States. This webinar is a discussion on the proposed rule’s high points and its expected impact on standards and health care delivery.

HL7 -- as the global authority on interoperability in healthcare and a critical driver in the healthcare standards arena -- had much to say in its recently filed comments to the government.

This webinar will provide information on these comments and topics like:

  • Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program changes;
  • The new CMS Promising Interoperability Programs (PIP);
  • A renewed focus on promoting interoperability; and
  • FHIR® and CCDA in the proposed rule.
