Increasing importance has been placed on the host tumor microenvironment in neoplastic growth and therapeutic responses. This session aims to highlight novel findings in the fields of head and neck and salivary gland neoplasms. The primary focus is on interactions between cancer cells and surrounding cells, as well as how these relationships impact cancer progression, therapeutic resistance, and/or clinical prognoses.
