Recording - COVID-19 Impact on Oral Health Services in Federally Qualified Health Centers

Presentation Icon
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way FQHCs deliver oral health care. Clinics were either closed, open to treat emergency cases only or move towards teledentistry to provide access to dental care during the initial stages of the COVID-19 shutdown and after reopening to continue care. This session will present evidence on the impacts of COVID-19 on FQHCs and their response strategy to provide continued support and safe dental care to patients. The speakers will also discuss the long-term effects of COVID-19 on oral health care access at community health centers and share their solution to mitigate this issue. This session combines qualitative and quantitative research with data collected from across the methodological spectrum, from big data to in-depth interviewing.
