2023 AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting

The 2023 AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition provided dental, oral, and craniofacial health scientists with the opportunity to present, discuss, and critique their latest and most cutting-edge research at a 100% in-person gathering in Portland, Oregon. The meeting was attended by 2,054 individuals from 39 countries.

The recordings in this library from the meeting are a selection of the science that was presented at the Annual Meeting. These recordings give you the opportunity to participate in the meeting and hear from leading researchers. The recordings include IADR Distinguished Lecture Series speakers and symposia from a collection of scientific groups and networks.

Session Description
Digital dentistry has become the reality after many years of innovation, hard work and dedicated efforts by many outstanding scientists, clinicians and manufacturers. One of the original and great champions of the introduction of the digital world to dentistry was Dr. E. Dianne Rekow. Dr. Rekow was a pioneer in many fields throughout her professional life. She was an outstanding scientist, researcher and teacher, and an impactful communicator from whom so many of us learned and were mentored. In 2018, Dianne authored and edited a book entitled, "Digital Dentistry. A Comprehensive Reference and Preview of the Future", published by Quintessence Publishing. This excellent compilation of the subject contains contributions by many of the most influential members in the world, and provides a stockpile of useful information for both the novice and expert.

This symposium contains presentations, most by authors in Dr. Rekow's book, that will emphasize the diversity of uses of the digital sciences in dental imaging, diagnostics, manufacturing, education and oral health care. It is with great pride and respect that we dedicate this symposium on the advances in digital dentistry to the memory of our colleague, Dr. E. Dianne Rekow.
