2023 AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting

The 2023 AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition provided dental, oral, and craniofacial health scientists with the opportunity to present, discuss, and critique their latest and most cutting-edge research at a 100% in-person gathering in Portland, Oregon. The meeting was attended by 2,054 individuals from 39 countries.

The recordings in this library from the meeting are a selection of the science that was presented at the Annual Meeting. These recordings give you the opportunity to participate in the meeting and hear from leading researchers. The recordings include IADR Distinguished Lecture Series speakers and symposia from a collection of scientific groups and networks.

This session can be purchased as part of the full meeting recordings within the product bundles

Session Description
The term "bioactive" has become a hot topic in today's dental practice. A variety of dental restorative biomaterials can promote tooth remineralization and/or inhibit tooth demineralization. Additionally, bioactive biomaterials can promote bone regeneration and can be used for bone augmentation procedures. There is a plethora of bioactive dental biomaterials available in the market, which makes it necessary for dentists and clinicians to be familiar with their properties and understand their clinical applications and indications. This symposium intends to review the concept of bioactive dental biomaterials. Moreover, the concept of next generation bio-functional restorative materials will be explained by introducing these new technologies. It will also present the audience with the latest updates on the bioactive biomaterials' properties, as well as clinical considerations for dental providers and patients. The latest developments in the bioactive dental materials world will also be discussed.
