2023 IADR/LAR General Session with WCPD

The 2023 IADR/LAR General Session & Exhibition with WCPD provided dental, oral, and craniofacial health scientists with the opportunity to present, discuss, and critique their latest and most cutting-edge research at a 100% in-person gathering in Bogotá, Colombia. The meeting was attended by 1,667 individuals from 76 countries.

Session Description
This session aims at showcasing key action areas for reform and transformative change to achieve UHC for oral health by 2030. There is an urgent need to apply and adapt the global policy templates to national contexts, and to prioritize impactful policy measures and interventions to improve population oral health. The session will feature examples of how global policy guidance can be effectively translated into national action. The examples will focus on oral disease prevention in schools, the concept of essential oral healthcare and primary health care ; innovative workforce deployment and new research priorities towards population-based interventions. A concluding panel discussion will focus on important aspects of a national, regional and global roadmap towards UHC for oral health by 2030.
