Major international ports are becoming chokepoints slowing down the transit of your shipments causing extra fees for your clients. With the help of our member experts, IAM examined what is driving the congestion, how you can mitigate the risk, and the timeline for the congestion to ease. IAM’s Bryan Vickers will also shared the latest news about the FMC potentially taking action against the shipping lines and terminal operators who may be profiting from the pain of shippers.

Jim Nance
Jim has been involved in the industry since 1978 when he worked at Bekins International. He subsequently worked at a large ITGBL carrier in a variety of roles including agency relations and port management. JIm established Southwest Port Services in 1988 which offers port and transportation services in the Los Angeles area. Jim has also served on the carrier relations committee at IAM and is presently a board member of the ISA.

Sheena Kiser
Sheena has worked in the industry in 2004 with SEACORP and has recently been promoted to the position of Managing Director. Her primary responsibilities include managing vendor relations, cultivating industry partnerships, negotiating ocean freight contracts, and supporting SEACORP company operations.

Bryan Vickers
Pace Companies, LLP
Since 2005, Bryan has assisted clients in shaping and directing specific, business-focused agendas and policies at the federal, state and local levels. He provides policy analysis, develops issue positioning, and educates Congressional and agency staff on client matters and issues. In addition to his work on behalf of IAM in the household goods moving space before agencies and Congressional Committees, he specializes in manufacturing, emissions and energy policy areas. In his advocacy for clients, Bryan is responsible for drafting comments for agency dockets, written testimony for US congressional and numerous state-based legislative committees, and on occasion, providing in-person testimony. Prior to his government affairs work, Bryan was a regional manager for sales with Southeastern Optical. He is a graduate of Radford University.

Brian Limperopulos
Brian Limperopulos has dedicated his professional life to advancing the professionalism and operational excellence of moving companies generally and IAM Members particularly. He began his career working for Security Moving and Storage in the Washington DC Metro Area before taking an opportunity at the International Association of Movers to develop and manage its member programs and services.
Brian has taken on many different responsibilities and roles since joining IAM in 2009. His success in these positions led to several promotions until his appointment to the position of IAM President in 2024. In this role, Brian is responsible for driving IAM forward toward its goals and achieving its mission.
Brian holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), which is the highest professional credential in the association industry.
When he is not working at IAM, Brian spends time with his wife, Lena, mostly chasing after their son, Craig, and daughter, Molly. In his free moments, Brian enjoys playing and watching soccer as well as droning on about his favorite history podcasts.
