The largest moving customer in the world, the US Department of Defense has made it clear that they fully intend to require electronic inventories for all DoD personal property shipments starting May 15, 2023. Together with the requirement set forth in the Performance Work Statement issued for the Global Household Goods Contract (GHC), DOD is fully intent on having electronic inventories for all its shipments in the near future.

With so much of the industry still using handwritten inventories, it is important to understand how to make this transition in your company. Join this session to hear from Drivers who are currently using electronic inventory tools to learn about how they adopted electronic inventories to share those lessons with your own team.

Caleb McCartney serves as General Manager of Cornerstone Moving & Storage, a family owned and operated company providing top-notch residential, commercial, international and DoD relocation services to Northern Virginia and beyond. Caleb joined the business’s Operations Department in 2015, electing to spend his first summer in the warehouse and on the trucks gaining valuable experience that would eventually help him more effectively lead the company and its employees. Shortly after that first summer, he was promoted to Operations Manager where he furthered his knowledge of the industry’s ins and outs before rising to his current position as General Manager.
