This presentation will provide an overview of individual unemployability, what VA can and cannot consider in adjudicating these claims, and how vocational opinions may be used within the context of a Veteran’s appeal. Topics for general discussion will include service-connected disabilities, how VA defines substantially gainful employment, and the importance of describing functional limitations within the context of the Veteran’s vocational and educational history.
