SSA's Ticket to Work Employment Network Services

The Ticket to Work Incentives Improvement Act was enacted in 1999 allowing Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) & Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries ages 18-64 an increased choice in obtaining vocational and rehabilitation services and offering opportunities to enter the workforce and lesson their dependence on public benefits. SSA provides resources for beneficiaries to support their employment goals and obtain services from a variety of Employment Networks and Work Incentive and Planning Assistance (WIPA) providers. The program is free and voluntary.
