Basics of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence: What Forensic Professionals Should Know

[No CEs] This is entry-level course for those rehabilitation practitioners and life care planners new to forensic practice. Participants will become familiar with professional preparation and qualifications, elements of a lawsuit and brief introduction to the Federal Rules from complaint filing through appeal, role and function of the expert.In this session Dr. Patrick Dunn discusses the Basics of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence for the forensic professional.

About the Presenter
Patrick L. Dunn, JD, PhD, CRC currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee, and is co-coordinator of the Rehabilitation Counseling program.Dr. Dunn has previously taught at Syracuse University and the University of Alabama.In addition to his academic work, Dr. Dunn is also a licensed attorney in the state of Tennessee.
