Bone Anchored Prosthetics – Eliminating the Socket

[No CEs] Integrum provides innovative systems for bone-anchored prostheses that have been improving the lives of people with amputations since 1990 by eliminating the need for a socket. The OPRA (Osseointegrated Prostheses for Rehabilitation of Amputees) implant system has been proven in several clinical scientific studies and has been used by hundreds of amputees in a growing number of centers around the world (14 currently) since the first surgery in 1990. Our innovative, FDA approved technology is based on osseointegration, enabling the direct connection of an artificial limb to the amputee’s skeleton. Several benefits, such as increased prosthetic use, improved mobility and enhanced quality of life, have been demonstrated. Prosthetist are invited to attend this seminar introducing this revolutionary approach to amputee care. It will cover but is not limited to the surgical procedures, rehabilitation protocols, patient selection, demonstrated benefits and the Axor II connection device.
