[No CEs] Serving as a Social Security Vocational Expert (SSVE) is different from other settings where a Vocational Expert may practice. This presentation explains the basic elements of SSVE practice including an understanding of the roles of all parties, explaining the “do’s and don’ts” of preparation for testimony. This includes key terms and definitions, how to review a case, how to participate in the disability hearing, how to deliver testimony appropriately as well as topics to expect during SSVE cross examination.
