Executive Dysfunction: Evaluation, Examples and Intervention

[No CEs] The session will describe executive functioning, including attention, working memory, flexible thinking and self-control. Assessment and treatment intervention, including executive coaching, will be overviewed. Case examples will be presented so that attendees can apply and generalize information to their own practice. The presentation will include a discussion of how rehabilitation professionals can collaborative with executive coaches and use intervention and progress data. There will be time allocated at the end of the session for questions/answers.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Define executive functioning and identify the role of executive function in everyday adaptive skill.
2. Identify means to assess and treat executive function weaknesses. 
3. List 3 ways in which executive coaching can be used to improve pediatric independent living skills and future adaptive outcomes.
