Description
Even after completing Life Care Planning certification, many new Life
Care Planners would benefit from additional guidance in how to build and
develop a Life Care Plan. This
presentation will discuss the use of electronic record receipt, Microsoft
OneDrive, SharePoint, and OneNote to keep the review of records and Life Care
Plan development process organized and streamlined, as well as the process of
record review itself, with a specific focus on how to balance time efficiency
with thoroughness. An extensive discussion will be held regarding what to
include in a plan, and what not to include, based on a review of records, as
well as how to determine plan inclusions when there are conflicts in
recommendations by treating providers and retained experts. Lastly, a discussion will be held of how to
write and present a Life Care Plan that is both comprehensive and imminently
defensible in deposition and trial settings.
