Webinar: Managing Challenges in Practice: Core Competency of Critical Thinking

Thank you

This live web event has ended. Thank you for attending.

Description

As life care planners transition from classroom content to real-world experience, there are many instances where actual practice deviates from what was taught. There are nuances to how situations are structured and how the choices for decision-making expand beyond what the new life care planner learned was the “right” way. This session will focus on how life care planners structure their personal framework for decision-making to ensure consistency and integrity. Critical thinking skills aid the life care planner in firming up a framework and using it as a benchmark to develop the life care plan. Actual examples will be used and participants will have the opportunity to practice skills during the session.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the basic elements of critical thinking
2. Examine how concepts of critical thinking are applied to life care planning dilemmas
3. Demonstrate application of critical thinking skills to common dilemmas encountered in life care planning
