Medical Cannabis 101

Session Description
With the worldwide increased interest in Cannabis as a medicine coupled with the relaxation of previously-prohibitionist laws, many new challenges emerged. One of those challenges was the education of the wider healthcare professional base as well as the general public. This lecture will introduce you to the Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pharmacology of the Cannabis plant as well as the Endocannabinoid System. We will also cover the practical clinical application of Cannabis therapeutics in the healthcare setting.

  1. Describe the clinical application of various Cannabis derivatives to different diseases
  2. Explain the therapeutic uses of Cannabis derivatives in the healthcare setting
