The 3rd edition of the Standards of Practice began the revision process in January 2013. After over one year of research, analysis, and writing, the 3rd edition is now undergoing field review. The purpose of field review is to offer opportunity for all life care planners to review the new edition and to offer further suggestions and comments. This phase of the revision process is important for ensuring that the new edition accurately reflects the development of the field of life care planning. It is also important as an educational opportunity for all life care planners to understand the standards to which they can be held. This is the final step before the 3rd edition is published and disseminated.
