[No CEs] This program will allow the attendee to walk away with a solid foundation of knowledge in the most common visual impairments and appropriate assessment and employment accommodations. The program provides a firm stepping stone for proactive and creative planning in the creation and implementation of a rehabilitation plan.
Objectives
- Describe the history of legislation related to vision rehabilitation, evolution and modern implementation
- Explain common visual impairments and their vocational implications
- Illustrate challenges and assessment accommodations in evaluating persons with visual impairments
