[No CEs] Resulting from amendments to the Medicare Secondary Payer Act in 2003, 2007, and 2013, parties settling workers' compensation and liability cases must consider Medicare's interests and therefore become significantly aware of mandatory insurer reporting requirements, assure conditional payment reimbursement, and determine whether a Medicare set aside is appropriate. This presentation will introduce the audience to the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, including mandatory insurer reporting, resolution of conditional payments, and Medicare set aside allocations, approval, and administration.
