Psychological Therapies for the World: Lessons for Pain Management from Low Resource Settings

This session will describe the innovations in improving access to mental health care globally and will consider their implications for efforts to expand the reach and effectiveness of pain control programs.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the innovations in improving access to mental health care in low resource settings.
  • Describe the innovations in addressing the shortage of skilled human resources in global mental health.
  • Appreciate how these innovations may be applied to pain control programs globally.
