Accreditation Guidance for Small Volume Certification Programs

About the Webinar
Certification programs with small numbers of candidates face a wide variety of challenges, many of which can affect the validity of certification decisions based on a certification exam. These challenges often resort from either the small pool of test takers (candidates) or limited financial resources available to develop/support the program. The purpose of NCCA accreditation is to recognize certification programs, regardless of their size, that have established policies and procedures designed to ensure that certification decisions are valid and fair for all candidates. NCCA accreditation is possible for small volume programs, but may require non-traditional solutions.

This on-demand webinar provides guidance for small volume programs seeking accreditation by identifying areas (i.e., standards) where these programs often struggle and by offering approaches that will help programs meet standards in those areas. Solutions related to the standards specific to panel composition, job task analysis, reliability, scoring, and equivalency and provided.

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will better understand areas/standards where small volume programs typically struggle.
  • Attendees will learn about approaches that small volume programs can follow to demonstrate compliance with those extra challenging areas/standards.
