This 2018 on-demand webinar provides information on how occupational credentialing is promoted across the military Services to enhance recruitment, professional development, retention, and transition to the civilian workforce. Through the military Services’ Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) programs, military occupations have been mapped to over 1,000 civilian certifications and Services will pay for certifications for Service members. Learn about the COOL programs, including methods of matching military occupations to civilian certifications, credential payment policies, and how to facilitate credentialing of Service members.

Innovative Methods for Assessing Military Training and Experience Towards Credential Eligibility 
This 2020 on-demand conference session will provide a detailed overview of how military training and experience can facilitate a service member’s or veteran’s ability to meet certification requirements. It will inform participants on the variety of ways that military trained applicants gain competency and on the ways they can assess and recognize these qualifications towards their more traditional methods of meeting eligibility criteria. The speakers also share how the application can aid certification bodies in reviewing military service members’ eligibility for their unique credentialing requirements and how this methodology could be applied to other populations.
