Chronic pain is a significant burden that challenges patients, their caregivers and clinicians across the world. It is estimated that approximately 43% of those in the U.S. and 39% of those in Europe experience chronic pain (pain lasting longer than 3 months) with a moderate to severe intensity. It can take many forms and severely impact quality of life for patients and their loved ones. Managing pain helps speed recovery and reduce complications from disease.
