Peter Melleney
Peter is a practising barrister with over 13 years’ experience spanning criminal law, professional regulation, immigration and asylum law. Prior to the Bar he worked on law reform for the Law Commission of England and Wales. He was also engaged as a Legal Consultant working in Somalia on a rule of law project. Since 2016 he has been representing a former government minister in the Turks and Caicos Islands on allegations of political corruption.Peter has been an advocacy trainer for Inner Temple since 2017 and for the past two years has taught on the Advanced International Advocacy Course held at Keble College, Oxford. Internationally he has delivered advocacy training at the International Criminal Court in the Hague and in several jurisdictions in the Caribbean and Africa.
