Inn Officer Overview: Inn Secretary/Treasurer

As Inn secretary, Inn treasurer or Inn secretary/treasurer, your role is critical to the effective and efficient operation of your Inn.  Although your role may differ depending on how your Inn has defined the position, Inn secretaries and treasurers have been tasked with the following responsibilities:
  • Maintaining accurate leadership and member rosters. 
  • Tracking meeting attendance. 
  • Coordinating and conducting annual elections in accordance with Inn bylaws. 
  • Accounting for all money collected and spent.
  • Maintaining financial records. 
  • Managing Inn tax filing. 
  • Coordinating the annual Member Satisfaction Survey
