Closing Your Private Practice

There are many reasons for closing a law practice. Maybe you are a solo lawyer retiring. Maybe you have accepted an in-house position or maybe you are joining a larger law firm as a new partner. In any event, closing a law firm may seem simple, but it is not. Clients, insurers and regulators may be interested in your law firm for years after it closes.

This presentation will help you make plans and determine steps to take when closing your law practice. Registration includes a link to a newly published 64-page "Closing a Practice Guide" containing forms, sample letters and checklists.
