IPA Webinar Series are educational events on topics both
timely and relevant to the field of older adult mental health. These
webinars include
formal presentations by featured international speakers with
specific learning objectives.

The new IPA international Journal Club (JC) offers a virtual
approach to the time honored tradition of medical Journal Clubs. The JC
will highlight top research in the field, providing a platform for
researchers and clinicians around the world to discuss their work with a community
interested in advancing "
Better Mental Health for Older People." The Journal Club will offer four programs throughout the academic year.
In partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, this Global Perspectives on Mental Health of Older Adults: A Primer for Clinicians
course consists of 12 seminars covering a broad expanse of topics
relating to older adult mental health. Each seminar includes CME upon
completion.

IPA's Early Career Network (ECN) strives to create a robust international network
of early career professionals across disciplines, both researchers and
clinicians, capable of supporting each other, helping compensate local
needs.

Launched in October 2021, this latest program features
'controversial topics' in older adult mental health presented by global thought leaders. As
technology speeds up and opens access to information, it also increases
the dissemination of opinions. The new
IPA Debate Series
aims to share trans-cultural viewpoints as well as foster open
discussion among participants to further enhance research and clinical
care.
In 2018, IPA collaborated with the Institute of Cognitive Neurology (INECO) Foundation
in Buenos Aires, Argentina to create a Spanish-language
online course to provide initial training in psychogeriatrics to address
growing needs of the ageing population in Latin America. Formerly
offered as a live, paid course in 2018 & 2019, these recorded
lectures are now available at no charge to all IPA member.
