Majerus has led a decade-long effort to implement a product development process based on Lean principles at the company's three global innovation centers. His first book, Lean-Driven Innovation: Powering Product Development at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company (2015, CRC Press), won the Shingo Research Award for 2016. He holds a Masters degree in chemistry from the Universitaet des Saarlandes in Saarbruecken, Germany. Norbert also serves on the board of LPPDE, the Lean Product and Process Development Exchange.
