2013 Future Summit

16 Presentations 0 Sections

The Future Summit envisions the future of research and technology management through provocative presentations about the future and reports and workshops around the IRI2038 project. IRI2038 is an 18 month strategic foresights project exploring how future trends, developments and events will impact the art and science of R&D management over the next 25 years. The IRI2038 project has resulted in four provocative, yet plausible, views of the future in which we may find ourselves managing R&D. These inductive scenarios of the future are detailed and their implications for R&D management in the future are unveiled. Future Summit attendees, along with a few remote locations around the world, are invited to participate in “backcasting” workshops. Backcasting is a foresights tool that brings longer range scenarios closer to today. For example, if this is what we expect to be doing 25 years from now, what should we see and do 20, 15, 10 and 5 years from now as the future unfolds?

The Summit involves an unprecedented level of global participation with real-time contributions from Europe, North America, and Asia. Please plan to join us in one of these locations to explore the future of technology management:

  • Brussels, Belgium
  • Pune, India
  • Wantage, UK
