This webinar is for anyone involved in the development of scientific publications supported by authors resident in and/or using data generated in the Asia-Pacific region.
Numerous recommendations and guidelines have been issued with the aim of improving the quality, timeliness and transparency of medical publications, but the language used is often ambiguous and can be challenging to interpret, particularly for speakers of English as a second language. Furthermore, cultural expectations raise additional challenges to applying ethical publication practices in the Asia-Pacific region. However, guidance on applying ethical publication practice guidelines in the Asia-Pacific region is lacking.
This webinar will introduce A guide to applying the Good Publication Practice 3 guidelines in the Asia-Pacific region, which has recently been published in Research Integrity and Peer Review (https://rdcu.be/bSJFP), outlining the underlining rationale and key suggestions for applying ethical publication practices in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as identifying useful tools and how to access them.
